We have been here for two weeks now and we finally move into our house tomorrow. We have been busy since arriving, The kids and I left for Tasmania two days after we arrived to visit friends for a week, we had a lovely time down there. it was a hot one though, the highest temp was 37C (about 97F) but it is so dry down there that it feels really nice. we spent time with our friends and on the beach and visiting our old favorite places (fish frenzy, michelle?) Duey joined us a week later and we left for Devonport on the north side of Tasmania (4 hour drive)to catch a ferry across the Bass straites to Melbourne (10 hour boat ride)Then we drove from Melbourne to Sydney (14 hours). The whole reason for this is we left our car down there with friends and this is the only way to get it back up to Sydney. The kids did great during the trip. the ferry was great, there were restaurants, shops, playroom, movie theatre, lots of areas to lounge about. the time went fast. the drive to sydney was a bit long, we got out often to let the kids have a play. Sydney is going to take a bit to get use to driving around. thank god for GPS in the car or I would be clueless as to where I am going. the city has 4 million people and there are very few freeways, to get to the airport from downtown you are taking side streets and going through neighborhoods the entire 20 km. needless to say for those of you coming I will be letting you know what train to take to get to me.
We move into the house tomorrow and are excited. we did a drive to the house yesterday and the owner happened to be there at the time so we had a look around. lovely house, has alot of character, and a nice yard for the kids.
our address will be:
14 The Kingsway
Roseville-Chase, NSW 2069

We have a meeting with the principle of the primary school in the area, so hopefully we will be able to get chesney her uniform and everything ready to go for her to start monday.
Miss you all and will keep you posted as to how things are going. Love to you.
